Research Institute of Dallas (R.I.D.) Clinical Research Coordinators

Satanya (Tanya) Brooks, CMA, CCRC, joined R.I.D. in 1997. After studying Pharmacology at Butler University, Indianapolis, Indiana, Tanya earned her Medical Assistant Diploma in 1984 at the Professional Careers Institute in Indianapolis. In 1989 she received her credential as a Certified Medical Assistant from the American Association of Medical Assistants. Not only has Tanya worked in that capacity, but she has also held a variety of medical office managerial and supervisory positions, as well as that of Clinical Data Coordinator and Clinical Research Coordinator. She has also been a CPR instructor/trainer with the American Red Cross.

Tanya’s studies in Pharmacology led to her focus on clinical research trials. She became a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator in 1994. Tanya’s educational background and years of professional experience provide valuable insight and contributions to her work with the R.I.D. team.

Andrea Hanney, M.A., Research Assistant, joined Research Institute of Dallas in December, 2013. She earned her Medical Assistant Certificate from HI-Tech Institute in Irving, Texas. After working as a Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant, Andrea entered the field of clinical studies as a Research Assistant with Covance in 2006. Her training and 33 years of multi-faceted experience make her a valued member of our RID team.

Gayle Hardin joined Research Institute of Dallas in 1994 after completing her research training at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. At RID, Gayle has worked in all aspects of multi-center clinical research protocols. Her training and years of experience with pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients as well as dedication to her work have proven her to be an important member of our research team.

Laurie Jones, CRC, joined Research Institute of Dallas in January, 2014. She attended Texas A&M University and later became front office manager for a dermatology practice in the Psoriasis Center, a division of the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Additionally, in 1998 she began working with psoriasis patients in clinical research studies. By 1999 this endeavor became her full time profession. In 2002 Laurie became part of the Clinical Trials Office of Baylor Research Institute. Her research studies expanded to include the areas of post gastric bypass surgery, orthopedic surgery (ankle, knee and cervical disk), blood loss in scoliosis patients and breast cancer. In the last 4 years before joining RID, Laurie worked at the Baylor Endocrine Center. Throughout her 25 years in the Baylor system, she continued her education as well as training with numerous principal investigators in clinical research. Her multiple skills and broad professional experience bring valued expertise to our team at RID.
