Research Institute of Dallas
An affiliate of Endocrine Associates of Dallas, P.A.

Our Mission: Conduct clinical trials that contribute to the research and development, of new treatments that prevent, treat, and improve the lives of patients with chronic medical conditions.
In 1985, our medical research operation began as a division of Endocrine Associates of Dallas (EAD) and focused on Phase II-IV clinical trials. In 1994, the Research Institute of Dallas (RID) was formally established as a separate entity. Research Institute of Dallas operates under the directorship of Heidi Chamberlain Shea, M.D. She continues to balance research activities with an Endocrinology practice where she sees children and adults. Audrey Miklius, M.D. and Jaime Weibel, M.D. are research partners who also continue to practice General Endocrinology.
We are grateful for the prior service and leadership of former Research Director Stephen Aronoff, M.D., and research partner Richard Sachson, M.D.
RID physicians and dedicated staff are experienced professionals, dedicated to conducting Endocrine and Metabolic Research studies. We strive to provide high-quality service to our participants and research sponsors. To better serve the DFW metroplex, RID has two convenient locations in Dallas and Plano.
Our Vision: Provide the highest quality of service to our participants and build long-lasting relationships with our research sponsors.
